A sangeet is the music and dance night before an Indian wedding. Each family performs a dance they’ve rehearsed, and then everyone gets up. When the families come from different countries, it’s often the night they really get to know each other. We plan the stage and sound, the choreographers and the running order.

A choreographer teaches each side a routine in a session or two. On the night, the performances take turns with open dancing. It gets loud and funny, and it’s usually when guests from abroad stop feeling like visitors.
