You can plan your Indian destination wedding from the UK with MarryLoom. We talk by video call in UK hours and give you the budget in pounds. Guests fly direct from London to Delhi or Mumbai, or with one stop in the Gulf to Kochi and Goa. Most couples marry legally in the UK and celebrate in India.

The UK has one of the largest Indian diaspora communities in the world, and plenty of couples with no Indian roots at all who simply want a wedding in the sun. The flight is long, but the wedding usually costs less than the same standard at home.

We plan around UK school holidays and bank holidays so your guests can come.

We plan Gujarati, Punjabi, Sikh, Tamil, Malayali, interfaith and fusion weddings. We find out which of your guests have never been to India, so we can brief them.

## Planning calls

We take video calls 9 am to 5 pm UK time (1.30–9.30 pm in Kochi in summer).

## Questions

### How much does an Indian destination wedding cost in pounds?

For 150 guests over three days at a 4-star resort, most couples spend roughly £33,000–73,000. That covers rooms, food, décor, photography and our planning. The calculator shows your own numbers in pounds.

### Can UK citizens get legally married in India?

Yes, under the Special Marriage Act. One of you needs 30 days’ residence first, and then there’s a 30-day notice period. So most UK couples marry legally in the UK and celebrate in India.
