More questions
What is a destination wedding?
A wedding held away from where the couple and most guests live, with everyone travelling to join them, usually for two or three days of functions at a resort, a heritage hotel or a beach. For couples abroad, a wedding in Kerala, Goa or Rajasthan is a destination wedding even when one family is from India.
Is a destination wedding in India cheaper than a wedding at home?
Usually, for the same standard. Rooms, food, décor and staff cost less in India than in Western Europe, North America or Australia, which is why couples often host a longer celebration for the same budget.
